LazFraudGuard: An Automated Fraudulent Product Detection for Lazada Philippines Using Machine Learning

LazFraudGuard is an experimental project built with machine learning that helps you identify whether a product on Lazada Philippines is fraudulent or not.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy outlines how data is handled by the LazFraudGuard extension and its associated API server.

Chrome Extension

All configuration settings and cached predictions for repeated viewing of product listings are stored locally on the user's device.

No data is transmitted from the extension to external servers unless explicitly required for classification purposes. The extension does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII).

API Server

The API server processes product details sent by the user's Chrome extension on demand.

Product information may be logged for up to 30 days to improve the inference time performance of repeatedly viewed products.

No logging of user details or transaction data is performed on the server.

Data Security

We prioritize user privacy and ensure that all data handled by our systems is either stored locally (extension) or processed without retention (API server).

Your interactions with our platform are designed to be secure and private. Communications to the API are encrypted with HTTPS.

Updates to this Policy

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes to our services. Any updates will be shared in the project repository and through the extension itself.
